Our children showcased their talents with the Abigail Dance Kids’ debut performance at Calvary Chapel Jinja. We successfully raised USD 2700 for our educational program, facilitating the children’s education needs.
Additionally, we enhanced our physiotherapy services with new equipment and a walking frame to assist disabled children. Kibugumo Samason received a new mattress and shoes, ensuring his comfort and mobility. We also created a “Wall of Generous Friends” to honor our supporters and organized a visitation day for the children to connect with their relatives. These activities highlight our commitment to improving the lives of the children in our care, thanks to the unwavering support of our donors, volunteers, and community members.

HEALTH AND WELL-BEING
Despite challenges, including a recent outbreak of red eyes among our children, we are pleased to report that all affected children received prompt medical attention and have fully recovered. This underscores our commitment to maintaining the health and well-being of every child under our care. Your support ensures that we can respond swiftly to health challenges and provide comprehensive medical care, allowing our children to return to their studies and daily activities with renewed vigor and vitality.
ABIGAIL DANCE KIDS’ FIRST PRESENTATION AT CALVARY CHAPEL JINJA
The Abigail Dance Kids, a group of talented young dancers from our ministry, had their debut performance at Calvary Chapel in Jinja. The children showcased their skills and enthusiasm, captivating the audience with their lively and inspiring dance routines. This event not only highlighted the children’s talents but also boosted their confidence and provided them with an opportunity to engage with the community.
SUCCESSFUL EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM FUNDRAISING
Our educational program fundraising campaign successfully raised USD 2700. The funds were allocated towards facilitating the education of the children under our care. This included purchasing school supplies, covering tuition fees, and providing necessary resources to ensure that every child has access to quality education. ACQUISITION OF NEW PHYSIOTHERAPY EQUIPMENT
We acquired new equipment for our physiotherapy sessions, enhancing the quality of care and rehabilitation services we offer to our children with physical disabilities. This new equipment includes advanced tools and devices that will help our physiotherapists provide more effective treatment and support, promoting better mobility and physical health for the children.
NEW WALKING FRAME FOR DISABLED CHILDREN
In addition to the physiotherapy equipment, we also acquired a new walking frame to assist children with mobility challenges. This walking frame is designed to provide stability and support, making it easier for disabled children to move around independently and with confidence. It is a significant addition to our resources, enabling us to better cater to the needs of our children with disabilities.
PROVISION OF MATTRESS AND SHOES FOR KIBUGUMO SAMASON
Kibugumo Samason, one of our disabled children, received a new mattress and shoes. This initiative was part of our ongoing efforts to ensure that all children at Empowered Child Ministries have access to essential items that contribute to their comfort and well-being. The new mattress will provide Samason with a good night’s sleep, and the shoes will offer him protection and support as he moves around.
CREATION OF A WALL OF GENEROUS FRIENDS
To honor and recognize the contributions of our generous supporters, we created a “Wall of Generous Friends.” This wall is dedicated to all the individuals and organizations that have donated their time, resources, and funds to support our mission. It serves as a symbol of our gratitude and a reminder of the collective effort that goes into making a positive impact on the lives of the children in our care.
VISITATION DAY FOR CHILDREN BY THEIR RELATIVES
We organized a special visitation day where the children at the orphanage were visited by their relatives. This day was filled with joy and emotional reunions, providing the children with the opportunity to connect with their family members and share their experiences. It was a heartwarming event that reinforced the importance of family bonds and offered the children emotional support and encouragement.
ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES
Throughout May, our children enthusiastically participated in dancing lessons, which serve as more than recreational activities. These sessions foster physical fitness, emotional expression, and social cohesion among the children, enhancing their confidence and interpersonal skills. Your support of these activities enables us to provide enriching experiences that contribute to the holistic development of our children, preparing them for future challenges and opportunities.
SPIRITUAL NOURISHMENT
Our Sunday church sessions remained a cornerstone of spiritual growth and community bonding. These sessions provide our children with opportunities to learn about faith, values, and compassion, fostering a sense of unity and support within our community. CELEBRATING MILESTONES
In June, we celebrated the birthdays of Namugaya Moreen on 2oth, Natasha Ketra 11th, Nemua Hellen on 7th. These celebrations are pivotal in boosting the self-esteem and sense of belonging of our children, reminding them that they are cherished members of our Empowered Child Ministries family. Your generosity in recognizing and celebrating these milestones reinforces their self-worth and strengthens their bond with our community, creating lasting memories of love and support.
