ATALIBA RIHANNA

Date of Birth: 13th April, 2017

Ataliba Rihanna, from Mafubira, Chamagwa, has endured immense tragedy. Her father was violently killed in a land dispute, leaving behind wounds that time cannot erase. Her mother, too, fought for her life during childbirth, a struggle that forever shaped Rihanna’s journey. Despite these hardships, she remains hopeful and determined. Since arriving at ECM on October 9, 2019, Rihanna has embraced the opportunity for a brighter future.

Her dream is to become a teacher, shaping young minds and nurturing curiosity. Her resilience proves the strength of the human spirit, rising above adversity with grace. In her free time, she enjoys playing with toys, letting her imagination soar beyond reality, and riding her bicycle, finding freedom on dusty paths. Rihanna’s favorite meal is chicken with pilau, and she loves the color purple. Her story reminds us that even in darkness, dreams and determination can shine through.
